A Tribute to an Exceptional Statesman

Robert H. Jackson, a native of Jamestown, left an indelible mark on the legal landscape of the United States. The building which holds the Robert H. Jackson Center is itself a piece of history. Built in 1858, this Italianate mansion is the oldest brick home in Jamestown! The architecture itself gives visitors a glimpse into history. Within the center, you’ll find several exhibits, including permanent ones like “The Nuremberg Photos by Raymond D’Addario” and “The Flags at Nuremberg.” They also host temporary exhibits, typically lasting about 6 months to a year, so even for returning guests there is something new as well! These rotating exhibits are all part of an ongoing series dedicated to exploring current events through the perspective of Justice Jackson’s work.

Guided tours are available Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. These tours are also available on Saturdays from June through August. Though not required, a $5 donation per person is suggested. For a quick peek beforehand, check out this drone footage of the center!
